Ryukyu Conference

Post by Satsuma on Sat Mar 15, 2014 3:35 pm

As we agreed in Izmir, the next conference would be held in the Satsuma domain, held on the Ryukyu Islands. Last time, we made the Izmir Accord, which set up a number of ways to better unite our countries in economic relations. We in Satsuma have a few ideas we wish to discuss for a Ryukyu Accord for OTO members:

1. The OTO, aware of the economic and cultural benefits of competitive sports, will sponsor future Oriental Games competitions as a means of uniting our region.

2. Having agreed on the Oriental Yuan as a voluntary, inter-OTO currency, remind consenting members to adopt it in their economic profiles.

3. The creation of a Oriental Stock Exchange and Oriental Bank with the establishment of a new regional map.

4. The approval of the privately discussed merging of the Imperial and People's Party into the Harmonious Union Party, blending the goals of both previous parties with new ones including explicit support for the OTO.

We welcome you,

Satsuma.

The Ile St-Jean delegation thanks Satsuma for holding this conference and supports this potential accord. If we might, there is a fifth point we would add:

5. Commencing the construction of the Trans-Oriental pipeline for facilitation of oil refining, along with the exploration of free trade zones specifically related to energy trading.

Satsuma would be willing to add this to the proposed accord. Any other business which we can add to the accord?

Nayrin will gladly endorse this future accord and is encouraged by the future of the HUP as a strong political party for advocating a more united region! Huzzah!

I believe this accord would encourage Oriental culture, which is something the New Dawn is nuts for. I endorse this.

Well, if Qikiqtaaluk Nunaavut wishes to reap the benefits of this accord, it should consider joining the OTO! If so, be sure to post an economic profile in the Economic Profile Thread (have fun with it but try to follow format) and be sure to read up on all previous agreements!
